Wind Creek Hospitality Employees Rack up the Wins

Wind Creek Atmore (WCA) achieved the prestigious AAA Four Diamond designation once again. AAA describes a Four Diamond facility this way: The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail. Comments from the inspector included “impressive”, “upscale property”, and “many on-site facilities”. The facilities are judged on a wide range of things like décor, design, cleanliness and overall impression. Property Manager, Tim Ramer says “the award was received because of the hard work and attention to customer care provided by his team of WCA employees. They go above and beyond every day to take care of our guests.”
Wind Creek Atmore’s culinary team from the Taste Buffet won 1st Place in the Professional Seafood Category at the 2015 Mobile, AL Gumbo Cook Off for the second year in a row. WCA’s winning team was led by Sous Chef Nathaniel “Leon” Crenshaw and members included Chef Bessie Moore, Chef Travolta “Bo” Primm, and Chef James Sheffield. There were 15 teams competing in various categories and WCA came out on top! Chef Leon says “my personal gumbo recipe comes with years of adding and taking away ingredients to make the flavor taste just right. In my opinion, the best part of any gumbo is the roux.”

Wind Creek Wetumpka’s Buffet team was awarded 2nd place for their spread at a recent Alabama Tourism Department event. The winning team members included: Terriyon Edwards, Alayna Davis, John Holcomb, Barry Stovall, Scott Dirting, and Chef Gary McGahan. They came out winners by serving an assortment of artisan breads, desserts, and prime rib to over four hundred at the Alabama Tourism Legislative Bash at the RSA Center in Montgomery. Among the distinguished guests served were legislative representatives and Governor and Mrs. Robert Bentley.
