Wind Creek Hospitality Partners through Sponsorships with Salvation Army and Mitchell Cancer Center

ATMORE, Ala. – Wind Creek Hospitality has provided an annual sponsorship to Salvation Army for their Doing the Most Good – Annual Luncheon.  They have partnered together for the 2nd year to kick off the “Family in Need Campaign”.  The luncheon was held November 16 at Battle House Hotel in Mobile.  “Wind Creek was crucial in making the event happen at all!  Without sponsors like Wind Creek the event wouldn’t be possible,” said Jennifer Lopez, Corporate Relations and Special Events Director, “to be sponsored in the line of charity work is a relief to educate the public more and allows us continue to do our work.”  The Salvation Army provides several programs throughout the community including:  Shelter Program for homeless men; Project Able for job placement and mentoring tools; Salvation Army Family Haven which provides emergency housing for families; and Core Salvage Rehabilitation Center (CSRC) which helps individuals with addiction by providing meals, medical care and work therapy.

Mitchell Cancer Center hosted Celebrate Hope at the Mitchell Center Institute on November 17.  This annual event has been sponsored by Wind Creek Hospitality for the previous four years and the last two years as the Presenting Sponsor.  "We are grateful for the generous support of Wind Creek Casino and Hotel Atmore as we advance basic cancer research at USA Mitchell Cancer Institute," said Kelly McCarron, director of MCI Development. "As the presenting sponsor for Celebrate Hope, Wind Creek is an active partner in the ongoing fight against cancer."  University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Center continues to help citizens lead longer, healthier lives through its efforts toward the prevention, diagnosis and advanced treatment of cancer
